What if you were stuck behind bars day in and day out? What if the only time you saw the sun was if someone had the time to fit you in during their busy schedule? What if the only family that you ever knew got rid of you and never looked back? Penny has been given up on, neglected, starved, and overlooked by many who have passed her kennel. They dont know what we know about our girl Penny. They dont know that behind those bars lies a gentle, loving, smart, athletic, beautiful soul who has been dismissed one too many times. She longs for a family to call her own, a warm bed to sleep in at night, and a gentle touch that will take away all of her fears and any doubts she has formed about humans. Penny needs us now more than ever. She needs to know that there is a special soul out there who is willing to give her the time, love, dedication and structure she so badly needs and deserves. Please take two minutes of your time to watch Penny in action. She will fill your heart and home with love and will be forever grateful if you are the one who will take her out from behind those bars and open your heart and home to her. Poor Penny has lost all faith in humans. She was pulled from a high kill shelter by a rescue, who then allowed her to sit in boarding and forgot all about her. Road to Home Rescue Support stepped up and found her a forever home. Her family was originally so enamored by her, that they called, emailed, and texted the group every day, as well as called the kennel and visited her often. After the family was approved, they assured the group that they would provide Penny with every opportunity to do well and that she would never want for anything. After a week of having Penny and the group offering to send a trainer, Penny was dropped back off at the kennel. This poor soul has no idea what she did wrong and why she is no longer sleeping in bed with her humans, playing with her canine companion, or sitting behind bars. She has lost weight, her mind, and the will to find a family who will love her. Penny is great with other dogs, cats, and people! This sweet girl has not been given the chance to thrive in an environment filled with love, attention, structure, and routine. We know that if she is given the chance, she will spend the rest of her days showing you how grateful she is for your compassion, dedication, love, and for opening your heart and home to her. Penny has been sitting in boarding for months and is counting on us to give her the chance to be the dog and companion everyone would hope for. Transport is available to an approved home in the northeast. If you are interested in fostering or adopting this very deserving girl, please contact us at inforoadtohome@gmail.
