What irony? Beauty in any race or complexion is simply that, beauty. When we do not appreciate our own, how can we really demand of others a higher standard of affinity? One of my earliest crazy over the top crushes was to a girl of East Indian decent and though she liked the same her parents did not approve. I pray to God that with this embrace of an East Indian woman of darker pigment that the age of fair is better will be exposed for the gross inexactitude that it is towards a new era for better race relations on the Indian subcontinent. Be proud of the skin that you are in. I support you totally Miss America as you rep for my sisters of colour who like the fairer counters are just as amazingly beautiful. You have a great fan in me.
