What is Art? • Kyle Bianchi – Art is more than Art. It is what makes the world round And give you freshman 15. • Rebecca Dragon - To me art is realist expression of what we see and feel. In my mind, art should move you and make you see a moment in a deeper way. Viewing art should be an eye opening and emotional experience. • McKenna Eichler - For me, art is a way of expression. It’s a release, a refuge, and a sanctuary. It’s a sacred time where I become focused and consumed with my art. • Eylam Fried - People express themselves with words everyday, but I think it’s a special moment when someone is able to portray an idea, give a message, or express a feeling to others without the use of words. That is what art means to me. • Jena Goldman - Art is a means of expressing how one sees the world. For me, art is all about light. When I look around me I am always analyzing the lighting. Art allows me to show other how I see things and how light impacts me. • Emma Pines-Schwartz - Art is a way to express what cannot be said with words. • Wyatt Warell - For me, art is taking something true to your soul, envisioning it as a metaphor, and making it visual. It doesn’t matter if it’s words, a drawing/painting, music, or dance so long as it makes an individual feel some sort of way that’s unexplainable.
