What is Jail Breaking an Iphone? Jail breaking allows you to download and use applications that are not approved by Apple such as downloading apps form Cydia application store. Cydia is the same as App Store. However, unlike App Store, Cydia allows you to download and buy applications that Apple did not approve. To jail break your phone, Go to JailBreakMe using your IPhone. It works for IOS v 4.01 or less. To see your Iphone software version go to Settings-->About-->Version.
