What is Mitchell Farm up to now? In an attempt to further reduce the burden on equine rescues, Mitchell Farm is very excited to announce the initiation of our new Shelter in Place Community Outreach Program. This new equine welfare initiative, made possible by a grant from the ASPCA, will reach out to regional residents who have horses on their property but are finding it difficult to physically or financially care for them. Aid would come in the form of volunteers to help with chores, and/or vouchers for feed, hay, farrier or other necessary services for equines. Applications will be available on line in January 2015.
