That may be a bit fanciful. At least the wording of it, if not the physics. Yet you might be intrigued by this: physicists declare that the entire universe can be explained by mathematical formulas. And you already know now that all that is on a video disc is digital data. That is, mathematics. Not pictures, but digits that, by their sequencing and formula, produce pictures.
