What is a chakra? The word chakra comes from the Sanskrit term “cakram,” meaning “wheel.” – we see the cakram held in the hand of Lord Vishnu [the sustainer and preserver of life] The chakra is - seven energy centers, existing within individuals and seated along the spine.By activating the chakras, you are able to bring balance to your life. There are seven chakras that allow for the circulation of universal energy through our bodies. Energy flows from the lowest chakra, the root, to the highest one, the crown. When in balance, the chakras allow the energy flow to be smooth and seamless. This in reality is the Athma [Soul] which is seated in the core pathway of the body ie. The spine and in line from the foot to the crown. The rotataion of the chakra disperses energy to every cell within the body – keeping it alive.
