What is a favorite memory you have of your father? I have many but perhaps the one that most demonstrates what a dad does for his kids is this one - my dad is not and never has been an outdoors type of guy. But when we were younger and living in northern Wisconsin, he used to take us kids (me and my 3 brothers) fishing, something fir which he had absolutely no enthusiasm. He would even bait our hooks for us. Only as I grew older did I realize what a real example that was of love. Especially the time I caught an eel - a long black ugly thing. Us kids were scared to touch it to get it off the hook. My dad was getting ready to do it and I expect he was even less happy about it than us kids were. He was saved, however, when another fisherman came over and asked if he could have it. My dad gave out a hearty YES, sir and handed the pole to the guy to take the eel off.
