What is a good and faithful Christian? I am sure that many would say that it means reading your Bible . Praying every day, attending church, tithing, doing good deeds and so on. These are all great things for Christians to be the involved with and I am not criticising them, but there is more to it than that. A genuine Christian is someone who has been made new in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17 ) and has been restored in their relationship to God. Being a true Christian means that you have encountered regeneration from God and that you have undergone a change in your heart and soul. It means that you are not restricted to the Laws of right and wrong in order to please God because you cannot please God by what you do. Thinking like this is a works based approach. Our good works done on our own merit are like filthy rags to our Holy God. (Isaiah 64:6). God will only be happy with anything you do through faith in His Son Jesus Christ.To be a good and faitful Christian, bearing fruit of the Spirit, means to follow Christ, to desire to know Him, to fellowship with Him, to be indwelt by Him, and to bring glory to Him in your life.
