What is happening all around the Middle East is a catastrophe on an insane level. Let us not forget the innocents of this world in the midst of their despair. The children of Syria, 9 million displaced families, bystanders in an ugly civil war. The new savagery in Iraq by the barbarian ISIS who in the name of god are killing and proclaiming their philosophy to a deranged following and the eternal hardships of the Palestinian people in Gaza. When will it all stop, when will humanity prevail. Over seven centuries ago, the Persian poet Sadi wrote: The children of Adam are limbs of one body Having been created of one essence. When the calamity of time afflicts one limb The other limbs cannot remain at rest. If you have no sympathy for the troubles of others You are not worthy to be called by the name of man. We are all connected beyond color, religion and nationality, hopefully the generations of the future will learn to live with each other in peace. Thoughts and prayers with all who are going through war and death this summer.
