What is happening in Palestine is unconscionable. I do not have to love Israel and hate Palestine, or love Palestine and hate Israel - they are not mutually exclusive. But what I do know is what Israel is doing to Palestine must stop, and we as Americans must demand it. Yes, it is a complicated situation. And yes, Israel must have the right to defend itself. But Palestine must also have the same rights. Politics aside, these are real people, with families and homes and dreams and lives, and the bombings must stop. Become educated about Gaza, and the West Bank, and insist that Israel stop bombing neighborhoods and the families that live there.
