What is it?: This Is ME, is a project based on the lives of everyday women. It is a theater production that will be composed of 4 Spoken Word Artists/Storytellers. They will each be telling a story from their lives. A single story that had an impact on who they are. The purpose in this project is to give a view into the life of women. So many people and cultures discredit the worth of women and we want to display exactly what gives women. . . WORTH. We want our female audience members to leave with a new understanding and appreciation of themselves. We want young women to leave ready to takeover the world. We want them to understand the greatness that is them. We want to help them see that obstacles do not equal defeat. We want our male audience members to leave with a new understanding and appreciation of women. We want them to see an equal, not a subdivision. We want them to understand that behind pretty faces, nice nails, heels and amazing clothes are actual humans. We overall want to supply an actual voice for women. ________________________________________________________ Casting: We are currently looking for Storytellers and Spoken Word Artist who are interested in being apart of the cast. Cast members must be willing to tell a real story from their life that will impact as well as entertain the audience. We are looking for women from all walks of life, all ages and creeds. There are no limitations or stipulations. If you have a powerful story to tell we want you to share it. All chosen participants will pay a sign on fee.
