What is it we truly love? Is it a form, a body, an object, a mortal body mind? Is this what we truly love? Is it the decaying form that we love? Is it not the sweetness, tenderness, beauty, intelligence and love ... that we truly love? Imagining that such qualities reside in a form or in an object that is impermanent and constantly shifting ... is the cause of our sorrow and disappointment. Whenever you imagine love to be love for an object that is separate from yourself, to be objective, meaning to have an external reality from consciousness ... you experience the pain of separation and the agonizing sense of lack. Often time, when you experience the sense of lack, you wrongly imagine that you must pursue the external object even stronger. Such belief maintains you in the quicksand of ignorance. Love is what you are... As this is revealed to you, the dream becomes sweet, lovely and beautiful free from resistance and pursuit. You become the radiance of love. The eternal love that you are.
