What is it with the doctors at Sunderland Royal Hospital? They say get here by 10am, so we get there at 9:45. Gail finally gets a bed at 12 noon. Then the doctor comes in and proceeds to tell Gail that she wont be in for the 5-7 days he said at their last meeting, it will be about two weeks. And instead of the camera down her throat and then, if alls well, have a PEG fitted, its the camera, barium feed, check for an ulcer, and only then if alls well, would they fit the PEG. But no, they might not now fit a PEG, they may instead go for a nasal feed. If one of the doctors there was to tell me the sun would rise in the morning, I wouldnt believe them till I saw the sun come up. We should just re-mortgage the house and go private.
