What is left of the weary warrior has finally made it home and is ready for her G&T before starting the nightly feed and clean routine. It is so very fortunate that I really got in there this morning and cleaned the crates that had just been vacated yesterday, along with the resident kitties crates. Still have a little moving to do, but generally, it gave me room for todays pick-up. Pulled the orange kitty everyone was worried about. Have no idea why, as I had to pull the needle from his arm practically. Then, got the blue tabby, notation on his Notes : no pts until end of day. Hey, he still had almost an hour left to live. Both are really sweet kitties, when I get a chance to look at them (shoved them in crates and raced off to finish the marketing for tonights dinner). It is my 34th anniversary, so not a biggee, but I doubt Dean will get back for dinner. Maybe desert. Then, while pulling, I got a call from Karen to pull 5 more kitties....and me with two real crates and one soft sided useless one. As I bemoaned having to run home, Anita spoke right up and offered me a crate if I would bring it back manana. Of course, and thank you. Went back with the extra 5 kitty paperwork, and a family was holding a grey and white kitty three boys and Mom, and surprise, that was the one I was to pull. They had come back for this kitty, because her son said that was the one, the one he had been waiting for. They knew he was getting sick, not a problem, but they hoped they wouldnt send him off for neuter. That kitty has it made. She was one fine Mom and her kids were super as well. So, a good day, our pull may have saved an additional life or two as they are packed in the cat room. We shall think about tomorrow..tomorrow!
