Unfortunately the man laid hold of biblical teachings and turned them into a marketable package, a product that can be sold to the people in exchange for the satisfaction of their physical and material needs. Religion offered by many religious organizations for the masses willing to pay tithing includes benefits such as curing serious diseases, and success in business. The Lord is certainly concerned about the welfare of their children, but the sense that many give for religion today causes it to become an instrument of power to the capitalist lines. If someone seeks religion for the sole purpose of satisfying their physical and material needs, inevitably this person fall into the situation described in verse today. If the disease is the lack of employment that makes us seek God, it is not difficult to conclude that when we have health and good financial standing and professional will tend to depart from the Lord. There is a need greater than in its physical or material prosperity man. This need is related to the spiritual benefits that the Lord can give us. Attributes such as love, gentleness, self-control, spirit of forgiveness, honesty and inner peace are the main blessings we can hope for today and always.
