What is the Chamber of Commerce? We are a voluntary non profit organization of business and professional men and women who have joined together for the purpose of supporting, promoting and improving trade and commerce and the economic civic and social welfare of the district. We mobilize the talents of the business and professional community thereby providing dynamic and vital leadership for the benefit of the entire community. We are NOT another branch of government or sub committee of the City of Melville or City Council. We do have a City Council Representative that reports to our Board with updates from the City as well as the Chamber is encouraged to play a role in the planning, development and budgeting that the City of Melville undergoes each year. We are the Voice of Business! We are here to support our businesses! The economic well being is directly related to the work that is done by the Chamber of Commerce. We have major impact on business, income and future growth of the area. This why the chamber is such a key component and is needed in the community!
