What is the craziest/weirdest thing you ever sterilized or had opened on your back table? 1.We had a surgeon who insisted on a bird bath to wash his gloves, so we sterilized a rubber duck and had it floating in the basin when he came in. Of course, he asked Is that sterile? then we all laughed. 2. Sales rep brought some new contraption in for ortho back in late 80s I watched him with the surgeon put this thing together, but knew we would have issues, so I made a copy of directions, had them processed. The next day sure enough there was confusion/struggle, nurse was trying to read and explain without touching from sidelines...so Sandy to the rescue I whipped out the instructions on my mayo and the case was smooth sailing from there. Earned brownie points from everyone involved.
