By blowing the hair you are applying a chemical to the hair to permanently alter its texture, therefore it is not pure natural hair. A natural afro does not have any relaxers to permanently change its texture. Natural hair shrinks when water is added to it while blown hair will not shrink very much or will not shrink at all.
