What is the difference between religions that claim that we can be automatically saved by an outer savior (or collectively saved in some rapture) - and new age ideas that all of humanity will automatically rise to the 5th dimension or suddenly see the spiritual side of as a result of some inevitable shift or prophecy? Almost nothing. Both fail to take into account that the purpose of life is to grow in self awareness as a result of our free will choices Both of these approaches are the dreams of the ego that wants some ultimate security without having to change itself. We as spiritual people need to understand that such an unbalanced approach actually lowers the collective consciousness instead of raising it. We need to instead connect with the Real in us, find balance and sharpen our discernment, so we can be about the the business of liberating ourselves from such ego games and becoming who we are and help others do the same.
