What is the gospel? The gospel in a nutshell is this: we are all - TopicsExpress

What is the gospel? The gospel in a nutshell is this: we are all sinners. Every single one of us. God created us to have fellowship with Him, but He is holy and though initially we were holy, because of sin, all of mankind has fallen and we all have inherited this disease. God is 100% holy and cannot have any fellowship with sin, which is darkness, therefore we are now born separated from Him and cannot have fellowship with Him. So as a solution, because He loves us and wants to have an eternal relationship with us, He had to redeem us. So He sent His Son Jesus to the earth and He was born in human flesh, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of Mary, to live life as a man without sin so that He could be the perfect and blameless sacrifice to bear the just wrath of God that was meant for us that He might be pleased and now through His sacrifice and resurrection, we can also have forgiveness and new spiritual and eternal life in Christ Jesus. Because of Jesus sacrifice on the cross, we now have access, being Jesus who is the only way, to our Heavenly Father and we can now boldly approach Him and have fellowship with Him if we continue to abide in Him. Without Jesus perfect sacrifice on the cross, we would all be still walking spiritually dead and eventually our bodies would die and we would have to pay the debt of eternal damnation in the fiery pit which is called hell. The Lord truly loves us and wants no man to perish, but because He is a HOLY and just GOD, He must punish sin, therefore He has made this way of escape. This is the good news, that we have redemption through His perfect blood and body. We have forgiveness and hope for an eternal future worshipping Him, abiding in Him. We all must make the choice to not only believe (because the demons also believe and they tremble, but they are not saved!) but to apply this professed believe in obedience in Him, having faith that all He says is indeed the truth, whether it be promises of blessings to the obedience or promises of judgment on the unrighteous. His yoke is easy and His burden is light and His strength is sufficient to all who lean not on themselves but put their full trust in Him. Even in our greatest trials, We can do all things in Christ Jesus who strengthens us. We can overcome sin and walk upright because He will uphold us with His right hand and lead us into all truth and empower us with His Holy Spirit. His part is done. Our part is to obey Him when He says we need to repent, and take His words seriously and do all He commands and not do all He commands us to not do. And if we love Him, we will love others and have a heart for them as Jesus does. We will define our love by by mans wicked interpretation of tolerance and acceptance of evil, but by telling others the whole truth of the good news and showing them the contrast of the bad news and why everyone needs this Savior, Jesus Christ.
