What is the necessary protein requirements for a pregnant woman? My midwife wants me to get a minimum of 80g a day. Im also looking for the highest protein and most calorie dense fruits and veggies. I can only eat pinto beans in moderation and all other grains and breans are out. Im allergic to avacados and bananas. Im almost 38 weeks and have only gained @14 pounds this whole pregnancy. The last 6 weeks I havent gained any but the baby seems to still be growing fine. Now matter how hard I try I just cant seem to eat enough and I want to make certain the baby is getting what he needs and what my body needs to prepare for birth and nursing. Thx for the advise.
