What is the point of matrices? Ive learned how to add and multiply them but no ones bothered explaining what theyre actually for or why we need to know about them. Or even how they work. I know the steps to take to multiply two together, but not why those are the correct steps to take. Everything else I learned in highschool maths or this class Im doing now I can see why the rules are what they are, and how they could be useful.
