What is the power of a lifetime? It is the power fueled by determination that comes from our belief in God and ourselves and our purpose, and the knowledge we have been blessed with talents and gifts!!! The power we have to live abundantly and joyously, will be sustained by our truths! We must stand firm and never compromise our beliefs, or our art or our science; we all will come to learn, and someday, I hope, to believe... that we are capable of achieving anything at all. Once we listen to the still small voice, to the single truth. If we have the fortitude. .the guts! If we have the stamina for the long haul. We will find the power to triumph over the odds we all will have to face, and we will find victory! Ovastand there will always be odds. . The politicians and powermongers and manipulators will wanna buy us and direct us along paths of their choosing and for their own agendas. They will bend and twist the universal truths and try to swaddle our conscience with hyperbole and rationalism. Only a sustained and invincible belief in self will allow us to maintain our integrity and achieve all the goals we set for ourselves. We must be utterly determined to believe in our ability to prevail. . No matter what!!!. These are beliefs which own a private voice. . They are the quiet, determined, essential things. ..a philosophical direction one must find for oneself. The horizon of six decades is now coming surely into my view.. 59 rushing up on me. ..and I giving grateful thanks that I have been able to traverse this world and these pretty amazing lifeyears with sufficient courage and enthusiasm and determination not to give up on dreams, long held. Got a bunch more set down in the journals-enough to keep me busy for the next couple of decades God Spare life...Bryce Courtenay has voiced many of the aforementioned words in his writings, which underscore my long held meditation. Martin Luther King Jr spoke to our greatness and reminded us we had truths, with similar. Wisdoms. .. as did Mahatma Ghandi, Nelson Mandela and many others. .. It has now become even more urgent, that we listen and hear...
