What is the pride of your life? That one thing that you love and/or want to have most! What makes you most happy and proud of yourself? Career? Intellect? Looks? Physique? Car? Relationship/s? What are you working towards or aiming for? Everyone in this life is running, trying to achieve something. What is that one thing that takes your attention away from God? That idol must go. If everything in your life is going well and smooth, I pray that the LORD does whatever it takes to break you and bring you low so you can receive Him. I do not want you to perish! For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? (Mark 8:36) Jesus answered and said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” (Luke 5:31-32) You must realise that youre lost in hopeless darkness, and your life means nothing without Gods love. You must come to understand that all the things in this world mean NOTHING if you dont have the salvation of the Lord. You MUST be born again of the Holy Spirit! But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” (James 4:6) “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.” If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. (Hebrews 12:6-11) Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. (Ezekiel 36:25-27)
