What is there to say except CONGRATULATIONS. The 7th & 8th grade boys played in the Thanksgiving Invitational Tournament at Malden Catholic. The toughest thing about making it to the final championship game is there can only be one winner. The boys played Saint Agnes, a team with deep experience in their program and would come up a little short tonight. Not for lack of trying, I feel like people may have taken advantage of some of our facebook postings, Chris Chevalier would be covered all night sometimes he found double coverage, limiting him to one three pointer. Luis Velasquez posted up big on rebounds and sank 7 points of his on. Javany Velez hit two while Samuel Miranda added 8 to the total. Off the bench the Anchors received help from Johnathan Balan, Antonio Jonnassaint, Sidney Edouardo, Junior Balan, Luke Silvestri and Brian Kirk. The big points tonight came from Jesus Rivera with 25. His hard work and sportsmanship would not go unnoticed, as the league would give him the Brother Anthony Sportsmanship Award. We are very proud of these young men. They represented Saint Clement School with class and sportsmanship.
