What is wrong with people????? (Pre-warning my status is a marathon doozie) If you run a home business, respond to your customers, dont ignore them for days! Insight into my vent : I wrote to a vendor last Sunday to hire or buy a cloth from them for this week, she is a WAHM and runs it from a facebook page, her website is only picture based with no access to process an order on. So I write a Facebook PM at the time she just finished an online auction so she was online and advised she was invoicing everyone within 24 hrs, unpaids would be relisted. I gave my date, table dimension, 2 options of colours required and happy to buy or hire as she did both. 2 days later nothing so I posted on her page to check if my msg was received in case it went to the Others folder, no reponse again, next day she was responding to people in her status about invoices and I posted a comment and got nothing. 4 days from initial PM I sent a follow up at midnight Thursday night before bed, because these are the hours Im usually online to answer emails etc, and finally got a response Friday morning when I was at Marleys dance lessons and it said contact number please, but I didnt get this til 5pm in the afternoon at home, in the meantime she sent a 2nd PM at 12 that said - ? yes thats right she was being rude cause I hadnt responded within 3 hours to her demand for my number. In the meantime at about 11am I secured a cloth from a friend..... So, I write back to her today and said Sorry I have been running around and I actually secured a cloth on Friday. Given I sent PM Friday, then a post on your wall and a comment in a status at the time people were being replied to, I didnt think I would be answered. Very disappointing as your cloths are lovely but alot of work to get a response. Her response was within 5 minutes, Im being generous it was more like 3 minutes, she posted this on her Business Page Status for all 3000 people to see: I have just received a message from an unhappy liker because she felt she was not being responded to. Just a reminder that I have been in hospital and quite unwell. I have been trying to keep up to date with enquiries and emails but I am not perfect and may take a little longer to get back to people. I would also like to remind you that I am also a mum and spending time with my little family is important too. My phone number listed on my page so if you feel you request or enquiry has been overlooked or is urgent please dont hesitate to call me rather than sending me rude messages. I told her a was not a Rude Customer I was a disappointed one but now I am a Never Returning Customer etc etc which is I went onto advise she didnt need to do that, shes posted a few more things, Ive deleted her page now. But have chosen to vent on my personal friend page, I would never vent about a customer on my Biz Page even when they tick me off. What is wrong with the customer service of this world in 2014????? Service people! Its what you give out in order to run an effective business!! Double ticked off!
