I personally do not want to ever enter in, as I would be afraid of causing the message we stand for to be stained by knowingly entering into a church I know does not preach the truth, even if it was not for a sermon but for a funeral. My grandmother is in her eighties. She will soon go to sleep, and I am the only Sabbath keeper in the family. None of my family, as far as I know, believe in the truth about the state of the dead, so I know I will hear the heresy of the immortality of the soul. They did not even anoint Jesus body because of the Sabbath approaching, but waited until after the Sabbath. I have decided, at this point, to not go when that day comes unless the Lord impresses me with His desire for me to go to be a witness. I can see the problems arising already, but I must stand firm. I ask for your prayers in this regard. ANSWER: This particular issue is between you and the Lord God as to what you should do – especially in a non-Catholic setting. But since this service would be dealing with your grandma, you have every right to take literature about the true state of the dead for your relatives and others to take. You can even distribute this literature before the service began on all the seats. That way the truth about the state of the dead could be known by all the attendees, and you would not just be there to hear the error of the immortality of the soul.
