What is your guys take on being radically honest? I feel that if everyone practiced it and applied the principles of radical honesty indiscriminately in daily life, you would be perceived as insensitive, basically, and you wouldnt be able to get anything done as it relates to cooperating with others in society. I believe that while many people will say they want the truth that when they hear it they are livid. Truth hurts. And I admit that I have a double standard with myself when it comes to truth. Most of the time I speak my mind and say what I believe. But I also admit that I also deflect questions from some people. That being said I feel far too often we are all sugar coating everything we say or even worse just telling people what they want to here (at least in face to face communication, online we are def a bit more candid). Were often left wondering peoples true motivations or how they actually feel about something or someone. Thats no good either. Reminds me of a quote If indeed you must be candid, be candid beautifully. Sometimes it just feels good to say what you feel regardless of how it impacts others. But if you do that too much, you end up alienating everyone at some point or another. I guess its a true art form to get across your point of view while still taking to heart someone elses.
