What more do we expect from GEJ The president speech yesterday - TopicsExpress

What more do we expect from GEJ The president speech yesterday was inept, lackluster and lack depth. I think this is why I will never be one of those blaming Mr. President. You can’t just give what you don’t have.is GEJ not a product of the Nigeria citizens? How many Nigerians can beat their chest to have stood to defend truth, integrity and astuteness? The way things is going; even if we have the likes of the same old and vague rulers calling themselves leaders in position by 2015, we should all be expecting sameness. Nothing new! Pls. think deep and tell me what is in-depth here, Our president said #corruption is not number 1 in the problem to the nation developmental index but he quickly said lack of infrastructures, epileptic power, no access to funds are rated to be occupying the 1st, 2nd, and third positions. I dare to ask what resulted to these three menaces in the first place if not corruption. He even said common stealing is not corruption. I don’t blame him! We get what we ask for…. Caveat; I also believe that corruption is not our problem let alone the core problem, it is our ignorance that is the core problem. You cannot just understand what you don’t know. Knowledge precedes understanding. The 2nd point he made was rather more annoying; it is not the poor people buying AK 47 or Hilux jeep. Yes, that sounds true but who are those using these ammunition? It is the poor of course! The poor are always at the receiving ends. Is it the rich that vandalizes the pipelines, set ablaze buildings or kill school children? The rich mobilizes the poor to carry out their disdain acts. The major problem is the few elite capitalizing on the ignorance of the majority poor. People work harder to receive little pay. Until we wage war against elitism in #Nigeria, (where few people that think they are smarter than others will be accruing the whole nation wealth to themselves) the nation will continue to wax stronger in poverty, sycophancy and nepotism. Willy-nilly, I rest my case for now!
