What next for Tourist Board? BUNNYFEST 2014 Many of you have been asking SNTB ‘how can you possibly top the CONAN DOYLE lake opening?’ Well we can – here’s our plan for a cheap Easter the kids will love: At Easter every year children may be asking parents annoying questions like ‘where does the Easter Bunny come from?’ The parent may look foolish when shoulders are repeatedly shrugged. The answer is of course South Norwood. At the bottom of Love Lane as it tapers into a footpath is a strange tunnel known as the BUNNY HOLE. Passing through the tunnel is a disconcerting experience. You enter from the South Norwood side but when you come out the other side it is difficult to tell exactly where you are……Penge,Anerley,Croydon, Beckenham…………..it is an Alice in Wonderland experience. So save a fortune this Easter and skip legoland or Chessington and get a free visit to THE BUNNY HOLE – HOME OF THE EASTER BUNNY. SNTB are proud to announce BUNNYFEST 2014 on Easter Sunday. This will involve hundreds of South Norwood folk dressed as Easter Bunnies and milling aimlessly around the BUNNY HOLE asking ‘when’s it start’ before drifting off to the ALBERT for a livener. N.B. South Norwood was the home of tennis ace BUNNY AUSTIN so named because he insisted that he had seen the easter Bunny at the Bunny Hole. FACT.
