What overnight success REALLY looks like... 1993 - Age 17 I dropped outta high school and got a job at McDonalds making $3.80 per hour. Worked there two years. 1994 - Age 18 Got pregnant and had a baby - Shes 19 now. 1996 - Age 20 got a job at a call center making $6 per hour. Stayed 11 months. 1997 - Moved to Dallas to work with a company in their legalization department for $9 per hour. Stayed 4 years. 2001 - Worked at a portrait company for $9 per hour for about a year. 2001 - Got a job as a GM making 24k per year 2003 - Moved to St. Louis and worked as Manager making 31k per year. Got in an unhealthy abusive relationship. 2004 - Age 28 Got job as GM making $56k per year. Stayed three years. 2007 - Went bankrupt. Lost home to foreclosure. Took 6 months off life. Fell off grid and hid from the world. 2008 - Age 32 went into business for myself (real estate consulting) and made $17,480.43 PROFIT my first 37 days in business. Turned a $40,000 contract into $189,000 contract. This is the year I came to Oklahoma. 2010 to Present - Age 34 closed that business, hired a career coach, wrote my book and started coaching other passionate serious entrepreneurs and consulting. Lesson: There is NO overnight success. What you see in me and others is a result of resiliency, faith and hard work. Keep working towards the NEXT BEST version of you. There is no quick fix, gimmick or magic pill. Just focus and dedication. #CEOism
