What part of SHALL NOT INTERFERE is misunderstood? With all authority in the hands of an unelected administrator, why do we even need councilors? They will be what, gofers? Hell, we can do that ourselves, cant we? And, as those now supporting it feared the last time, with these councilors being elected by district, why would one act on the behalf of someone from outside their district, much like state legislators now? Dont fall for it. Once passed, it can never be revoked. Any amendments years down the road would be limited too. This whole effort will throw the baby out with the bathwater because Democrats lost the majority on the County Commission in 2012. They feel it now proper to radically transform county government in a way that will give them a better chance at holding one-party rule indefinitely.
