What peeps misjudged about SALINGGAWI. SALINGGAWI is a combination of Salin and Gawi. In every performance of SALINGGAWI, I observed that they retain some of the routines they have done so in the past. These acts have become trademarks and some of them have been transformed by other cheering squads in notably more vibrant form. While retaining the "old ways," SALINGGAWI makes it a point to introduce "new ways," new routines, so to speak. As a result, their performance in the past is weaving together of old and the new. What we have seen now, is a totally different, SALINGGAWI. A SALINGGAWI more of a cheering squad than a dance troupe. While their recent performance may not have lived up to the expectations of many, one thing remarkable about SALINGGAWI is that their recent act is notches away from their comfort zones. It may not have been executed well, yet the creativity and innovation were all there. Those are precious charcteristics from where they could pick it up again. SALINGGAWI, we still BELIEVE.
