What problems do we have in the world? How can we solve these problems for the benefit of everyone in the world? One problem we have to overcome is Racism. Is Colour only Skin Deep? “Blacks and Whites” “The colour of my skin is fair, I’ve got blue eyes and blonde, curly hair but do we really care? and The colour of my blood is red” “The colour of my skin is rosy, I’ve got brown, straight hair, brown eyes and I’m nosey and The colour of my blood is red” “The colour of my skin is olive, I’ve got dark brown, wavy hair, green eyes and under the stars is where I live and The colour of my blood is red” “The colour of my skin is light brown I’ve got short, brown, curly hair, hazel eyes and sometimes I frown and The colour of my blood is red” “The colour of my skin is medium brown, I’ve got black, wavy, hair, brown eyes and and I play the “clown” and The colour of my blood is red” “The colour of my skin is dark brown, I’ve got black, curly, hair, dark brown eyes and I am wise and The colour of my blood is red” Poem was written by me (Janet / Latife) Is there any person in the world with “black skin?” No! Is there any person in the world with “white skin?” Yes! Albinos! (People with a pigment defect.) They are not of any particular nationality but can be found in any nationality. So why do we speak about “blacks and whites”? Whatever colour your skin is your blood is always red or Are you an alien with blood of a different colour? ALLAH / God looks not at how you look but what is in your heart. Islam knows no racism. In Islam everyone is equal regardless of their colour, nationality or job. We are brothers and sisters.
