What really gets me upset are people who say youre just a youtube sensation, you dont know anything. First of all, we never began doing videos to become a youtube sensation. We had knowledge and we felt like it had to be expressed seeing all the ignorance around in this world. We didnt ask anyone to promote our videos but somehow we still got noticed. We also take islamic classes and taken other classes on islam when we were younger. I dont understand when people think were using dawah to get popular or were just doing it for the heck of it. Just because our teachings were different from what others taught you doesnt mean were wrong and it doesnt mean youre wrong, it means we should all look at both sides of the subjects because sheikhs and imams all have difference of opinion and pick the side they believe is true. To attack us just because we were taught differently than you doesnt make you better. I love hearing the opposite side but with kindness. It is said in the Quran “Invite all to the way of thy lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious” [16:125]. I even see scholars/sheikhs being abused by people who dont know much about Islam and say Youre just a popular sheikh, doesnt mean you know anything. If people are always wrong to you, then why dont you begin to do dawah instead of bashing people who may have a different perspective on Islam than you? At the end of the day remember it is more important to be kind than to be right. Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) did most of his dawah by keeping silent yet being kind to others.
