What really gets to me about the post pistorius trial: The attitude/assumption that your house is in constant threat of invasion or attack. The attitude that an intruder in your house deserves to die regardless of who they are, what their intentions are or whether or not they are armed. The ease of access to guns so that when you do make an error of judgement it ends up being fatal/irreversible. There are some serious cultural problems going on here which are possibly as much to blame as the man himself.
