What should we do with these handwritten lyrics from Bob - TopicsExpress

What should we do with these handwritten lyrics from Bob Dylan? Im assuming that someone asked that question, because T Bone Burnett gathered up Elvis Costello, Rhiannon Giddens, Taylor Goldsmith, Jim James and Marcus Mumford to make an album with them. A few of those names might be unfamiliar to you, so here are the acts that they are associated with: Rhiannon Giddens: Carolina Chocolate Drops Taylor Goldsmith: Dawes Jim James: My Morning Jacket In this particular track, Marcus Mumford takes the lead, although each artist had a chance to take the lead when making Lost on the River: The New Basement Tapes. There were also differing versions of songs because each musician provided their own unique take on Dylans lyrics. The whole idea behind this approach was to somehow capture some of the same magic behind Dylans original Basement Tapes. If youre interested in the lore behind that, go here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Basement_Tapes. A few of you might notice that Elvis Costello doesnt appear to be in this video. As it turns out, Mr. Costello had a concert that he needed to be at. Instead, Johnny Depp sat in on guitar for this particular session. While I cant say that Im 100% a fan of Mumford and Sons, I do appreciate Marcus Mumfords work on this song. He sings it with a ton of feeling, and he even appears to get a little teared up singing it. You have to appreciate someone that puts their heart into what they do. - Mr. Big #MarcusMumford #KansasCity #TheNewBasementTapes #BobDylan #RhiannonGiddens #TaylorGoldsmith #JimJames #ElvisCostello #JohnnyDepp
