What studies theyve bothered conducting have also shown that the prisoner population has a pretty high percentage of people with undiagnosed physical (non-mental) health issues, some of which can lead to brain issues since duh, the brain is a physical organ. This goes back to whether people are essentially good/social. I would argue that most of us are, unless were born sociopaths or psychopaths. Which is not most of us, and even some sociopaths learn to get along in society without hurting others, because on some level they perceive thats a good idea. So if someones really acting out, theres usually an underlying issue causing it, not just well theyre just evil people. Thats not good enough. Whats the actual *cause*? And yes, I realize there are a lot of people in the world acting messed up. Thats because a lot of us are physically messed up. There is something wrong with us. Id say that in the main were not eating right. And then many of us are raised in less than nurturing conditions and even when we succeed despite the odds it turns us into petty little assholes out to step on everyone else to get ahead, since thats how we define success in our culture most of the time. So yeah, I would expect to see a lot of acting out. Theres a fix, but you wouldnt like it. Its too much work. Easier to just throw people away.
