What the carnal mind will never understand is - the result of salvation is obedience. Satan clouds the deceived mind by saying, “Those commandment-keepers are legalistic, trying to work their way into heaven.” Um, no, the result of salvation is obedience. Obedience is not the cause of salvation. Try as we may to inform the deceived mind – it is just too much for them. Those who long for freedom from the commandments; which is actually bondage to sin; will imagine any excuse to continue in their sin. The wages of sin is death. Sin is violating God’s commandments. Unless we repent and turn Christ cannot forgive us. But, if Satan can keep people deceived about the commandments no longer being valid they will never repent and, thus, never be forgiven. They ask, “Repent from what? The law is dead, after all.” Um, no, it is not. That’s just deception talking. The carnal mind is tricky and willing to be deceived.
