What thoughtful people the locals in Dubai are. I went for a run at 4:30 this morning to avoid the worst of the heat. Outside the hotel were a clutch of ladies, one of whom came up to me, gently put her hand on my arm, and asked me if I wanted a massage. I told her that Id been stiff all night and a massage sounded great. Her eyes perked up and she told me that she lived nearby. I said that Id prefer a massage after my run (better for my stiff legs I thought), and that maybe my wife (Maggie) would like a massage too. For some reason she cooled to the idea at this point. But how enterprising it is to approach runners and offer them massages.
