What to expect when UAAP 77 volleyball resumes Ateneo vs La Salle rematch The much-anticipated rematch between archrivals Ateneo and La Salle will explode on January 11 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Defending champion Ateneo will have its hands full in the final week of the first round with three games including a back-to-back. On January 4 the Lady Eagles will go up against the formidable UP Lady Maroons. Ateneo will have five days of rest before going into battle with the Lady Warriors. The Lady Eagles will have no time to rest as they will once again go inside the court to challenge the Lady Spikers that will have ample time to prepare after their game against UE. Ara Galang, Mika Reyes, Cyd Demecillo and Kim Fajardo will carry the fight for La Salle, raring for vengeance after losing the title last season to the Lady Eagles even after securing a thrice-to-beat advantage. Asean University Games bronze medalist Ateneo won all its four games in straight sets this season and will try to use their international exposure as an advantage to repel La Salle.
