What transpired in Turfloop yesterday in not an accident nor a surprise cdes! It was long overdue to some of us who are analytical and are honest that the centre is not holding in our glorious PYA! We are experiencing political fatigue and paralysis! When cde Ronald Ozzy Lamola shows leadership by visiting campuses and giving political lectures, the very same cdes who failed to deliver Turfloop attacked him and called him a pop idol and insisted that he is ill-disciplined to be honest about his ambitions to lead the ANCYL! To be quite frank, Lamola is exactly what we need right now and what the doctor ordered in these trying times full of turbulence in the PYA and ANCYL in particular! We all agree that the rebuilding process has failed brouhaha and furore as those who were given the opportunity to rebuild were defocused on the task at hand and worked hard to keep the positions they were temporarily appointed at the expense of membership and rebuilding ideals. Now the ANCYL is in a crossroad and experiences a political leadership cul de sac! In Ozzy Lamola we believe and trust that business can no longer be as usual! The victory of eff in Turfloop must never be underestimated nor taken for granted! Never understimate nor undermine the strength of your opponent no matter how powerful or smart you think you are. Students by nature are a strata in transit and therefore, unreliable and unpredictable! They are the most advanced detachment in society and they are very critical! Its not that simple to fool students as lies have short legs and will catch up with you sooner than later! Congratulations to eff to convincingly winning SRC elections in Turfloop! We need to go back to basics as PYA and be honest in our analysis of what went wrong and take it from there. Denial and shifting blame will not reverse the outcomes of the SRC results. It is a huge margin and it needs honest reflection and acknowledgement that the centre is not holding hence things have fallen apart! This is a Damascus moment for the PYA to turn things around! It is a bitter/sweet lesson to learn and it is inevitable! It is indeed a very powerful wake up call from perpetual slumber! Ndaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
