What up, yall. Ive been on a long vacation, and Im still not officially back, but heres some info that some have been asking Karl Straub for. You should always tag Karl in any communication with me, in case Im out of town, at Nancys Leisure Lunch (wifi doesnt work so well there), getting my nails done, hair adjusted, blood clarified, lounging at the beach or roller rink, at Burning Man, at a bingo parlour, at the less popular knockoff festival Smoldering Man, etc. Anyways, its hardly your affair where I am when Im not here. Instagram is designed to be used on a smartphone, but you can get to the instagram website on your computer. It should work on a smartphone too, but again, if you have trouble please let me know, and tag Karl in the comment. Ideally, wed love to see you download the Instagram phone app, and start an account, making it easier for you to follow Karls posts there, and comment directly on his posts. (This may tantalize you-- for those of you who post pictures of their food, prior to eating it, on Facebook, Instagram is designed for such activity.) Some of you, (im looking at you, Edward OConnell and John L Bauserman Jr) have already started Instagram accounts. I believe they are both lawyers, so perhaps they have a greater patience for tedium than most of us. But starting an Instagram account is way less bullshit than starting a Facebook account. I still have about 90 minutes of hoops Facebook wants me to jump through so they can serve me better. I know Instagram is perceived as a youth thing, but I am on Instagram and, in fact, hate it. Although now that Karls using it a lot, I suspect hell start bugging me to use it more too. Okay, thats more than I wanted to say. Todds getting impatient, because the Medea DVD is about to start. Not the hilarious drag character, but the Pasolini film with Maria Callas. Hmmm-as I type this, my eyeballs are drawn to the margin where Im told its trending news that Taylor Swift is dismissing the haters. Do they mean dismissing them, as one might dismiss servants for the evening? Shes certainly wealthy enough to hire haters. Maybe its like Clouseau asking his butler to attack him-- she hires mercenary haters to help her toughen up to take on the real haters out there. I cant stand haters. Its a generational thing-- yall dont mind haters, but we dont care for them. We are careful, though, not to hate them. Because, then, were no better than they are. And, moreover-- if you follow my drift-- the whole point is to BE better than they are. Because if youre not, then someone can say youre no better than a hater. All RIGHT, Todd!
