What was your all-time favorite routine activity at Central? Mine was foot hockey in the GX room in the basement (anyone else remember that room?). That room was great because no one went in there much (so no faculty ever bothered you), and the ventilation openings in some of the columns made perfect goals! I had a morning study hall in my senior year in the Library, which included the likes of Rich Leek, George Hasara, Angelo Mimmo, Marcel Neumann, Marcel Miner (best overall athlete in the school I ever saw), and several others whose names arent coming to me at the moment. At first I just played foot hockey 1:1 with Marcel Neumann, but eventually others joined, occasionally having enough players for full rink play with goals on either end. Id go to my next class drenched in sweat, and probably smelled like a horse (not that I ever smelled great in the first place!), but it was great! My second all-time favorite activity? Table football (the triangular paper kind) on those long cafeteria benches--especially kicking long field goals with your fingers! I was much more easily amused back then!
