What we call our Elders, Leaders, Chiefs, Heads and other Senior - TopicsExpress

What we call our Elders, Leaders, Chiefs, Heads and other Senior people has an effect on how they treat us as the electorate. The MDCT and ZanuPF have a habit of calling people LEADER. Others were called Honourable, SG, Organ, Chairman and even President. The dictionary definition of Leader is- a person or thing that leads, a person or thing that is most successful or advanced. Most important, 1st place, Boss, Commander, Director, Godfather, Patriarch, Superior. These are all phrases that give people BIG HEADS. Makes people think they are invincible. Leads people to ABUSE the electorate. We in RENEWAL would like to change the way we interact with the Electorate. We are not their Bosses, Directors, Superiors, Commanders etc etc. We are their SERVANTS. The dictionary explains SERVANT as follows- A person employed to perform duties for a household, person, organization, people. Assistant,Attendant,Helper. To Serve is to- Aid, Accommodate, Assist, Attend, Be at someones beck and call,Further help, Look after, Minister too, Wait upon, Work for. As we can see, anyone who has the people at heart would obviously want to be their SERVANT and not their Leader. Anyone who is Humble will be a SERVANT of the people. Anyone who puts Zimbabwe first will be a SERVANT of Zimbabwe. Anyone who wants to help Zimbabwe will first and foremost be her SERVANT. So from this day forth, i shed the titles of Leader, Honourable, President, Chairman etc etc and i assume the title of SERVANT. For Zimbabwe For the People.
