What would J. S. Bach say to this? A performance of his Partita - TopicsExpress

What would J. S. Bach say to this? A performance of his Partita Number 4 on A Bosendorfer Impearl Grand. Of course the Partita was written for a clavichord or harpsichord as pianos were not yet invented in Bach’s time. And there is nothing like a Bosendorfer Imperial Grand. It has 96 keys meaning ½ octave below and above a standard key board of 88 keys. For Bach the entire issue of sympathetic string vibrations would be “mind altering” and the Bosendorfer’s “singing and lyrical” tone would add new dimension to his mathematical precise counterpontial style. Listen to this piano. The performer is quite young but has lots of potential for musical maturity. https://youtube/watch?v=FBh3wzfUgng As I find more outstanding performances on a Bosendorfer I will post them. Then I will move on to the Bluthner piano.
