What would you do if a storm prevented you from leaving your home and you needed to feed your family? Todays Survival kit item Im exploring: MREs (meals ready to eat): These food packets have a shelf life of 10-25 (?!) years. They are prepared using boiling water or a flameless heater (usually included in the pack). These seem to be great emergency options. The price is very affordable: about $5-6 each or you can buy multiple packs. I found these on Amazon, lots of varieties. Please prepare yourself and your loved ones just in case of disaster.
