What would you do if your 16-year-old who is a junior, has had 2 serious concussions, back and knee problems worthy of medical attention wants to try out for football. He has been in weight-lifting this year, strengthened his knees and back and is seeing major results, slimming down, eating healthiER and signing up for extracurricular activities for the 1st time. He is also not making the grade in more than one of his classes. In order to play in sports, he has to bring them up. Next semester there is no room in his tight schedule for the classes that keep him from dropping out- including weight-lifting and welding (his career goal). Football is before and after school and he feels its the only thing going for him. I am a protective, worse-case-scenerio mom... Im so scared hes going to get hurt... PLEASE HELLLLLP!!!
