What would you say to the 86% of Americans who actively - TopicsExpress

What would you say to the 86% of Americans who actively participated in the Revolutionary War with regard to the "Patriot Act", the NDAA, HR347, the build-up of illegal ammunition by the federal government, and the attack on gun ownership? The Revolutionary War was waged against England over liberty--the idea that we should not live under the tyranny of a government. The Stamp Act was the catalyst for the change when the English came into homes to see if Americans had the proper stamps on their papers. This invasion of privacy was a major factor in the war. The population of the US was 2.5M at the time and 2,170,000 people actively participated in the war--all to adopt our constitution and end the tyranny of England. Over 4% of the population was wounded or died in that battle, only eclipsed by WWI and WWII (excluding the Civil War). From the revolutionary war through the Korean War, nearly 1.4M people were wounded or died to protect our constitution. And while it is tragic and very sad that just over 2,000 people died on 9111, we have become a nation of scardicats who shiver at the thought of a single terrorist attack and are quick to toss out our constitution that 1.4M people have given life and limb to protect. How would you stand and face these 1.4M and explain our liberty erosion to them? If you are against those erosions, would you feel good if you had to explain to them your personal actions to end this erosion?
